The repercussions of suspending Israel's request to be an observer in the African Union

The decision of the African Union Organization on 6 February 2022 regarding suspending the decision to grant Israel observer status in July 2021 blocked the way to a sharp division within the organization, at least for the time being, while Israel did not despair of this decision as it does not mean a rejection for its membership, by the African countries, putting into consideration the decision to form a seven-member committee to study the issue until February 2023. This may give it an opportunity to expand its movement in the African arena in the hope of  - with American help - changing some positions which reject its accession to the African Union.
